Yo!

What’s good OTA Nation?

Hope y’all have been working your asses off this week and reaping the benefits.

This week I’ve been watching a lot of NBA Playoffs.

Seeing all of these ELITE players playing at their best, hustling for every loose ball, and grinding for every single bucket is really inspiring to me.

It also got me thinking…

I know all of you guys have aspirations to become ELITE athletes…

but you have to realize that becoming elite is more than just giving it your all in the gym every single day.

That’s a HUGE portion of it, but there’s more that you may be missing.

Which is why I’ve decided to share three habits that’ll ultimately boost your status as a successful athlete as well as boost your performance.

#1- Adopt a Morning Ritual

Starting every single day with discipline is key, especially for a developing athlete.

Whether it’s eating the same breakfast every morning, going for a walk, or even meditating.

Doing this will serve as an anchor, so you’ll start your day with the same energy every morning.

#2- Working On a Sport Specific Weakness

I know, most athletes hate working on their weaknesses.

It can make them feel weak, incapable, and small.

But I know that the OTA Athletes will always let go of their ego and do the work they need to to get better.

So every day, you need to dedicate at least 15 minutes to working on a weakness.

It can be dribbling with your left hand, working on agility, or spend some time working your curveball.

Whatever it is, let go of your pride and work on those weaknesses.

#3- Analyzation

If you’re serious about becoming a top level athlete, you need to spend a few minutes to analyze yourself or an athlete you aspire to be like.

You’ll start to notice tiny weaknesses you have, bad habits, and how to improve as a player overall.

Even if you watch another athlete, you’ll start to notice good or bad tendencies and habits they have.

You’ll be able to see how they are successful and you can incorporate those things into your game.

It only takes a few minutes each day.

So that’s it.

Hope you incorporate these habits into your day.

If you use them properly, you’ll start to see an increase in your performance.

And by the way, if you want to see the video I made on this, it’s right here.

Peace,
